School Uniform

The school has a uniform which is smart and practical.  It is hoped that parents will co-operate in sending children to school in clothes that are suitable, reasonable, practicable and not in extremes of fashions with no large logos or slogans.
Years R – 6:
  •          Sweat Shirt or Cardigan with logo – Navy
  •          Polo Shirt – White
  •          Trousers, Pinafore, Skirt or Shorts - Grey/Black
  •          Socks – White or Grey/Black
  •          Shoes – Black. We request that children wear sensible school shoes (no open toes or sling backs) to school and not trainers. High heeled shoes are not to be worn.
School bags and drinks bottles
  •          Book Bags should be in school every day.
  •          We encourage pupils to bring a drink of water - please ensure it is child friendly and easily sealed to avoid leakage.
  •          Lunch boxes should also be child friendly.
P.E.
  •          T-shirt – Yellow with Logo.
  •          Shorts or jogging bottoms – Navy
  •          Plimsolls/Trainers – Black
  •          Boots with studs may be useful when playing field sports but this will be communicated to parents for specific events.
Uniform with the school logo is available to purchase from Mole Avon Country Stores, Joseph Locke Way, Crediton EX17 3FD.

School uniform without the school logo is also acceptable as long as it meets the criteria.  These can usually be purchased from M&S and many larger supermarkets.

Please ensure that all items and clothing coming into school is named. This saves a considerable amount of time in school and ensures that anything misplaced gets back to its owner.

  • Hair that reaches below jaw level must be tied back in school.
  • No heavily decorated or 'party' accessories - plain hair bands or clips only.
  • Hair dye or colours should not be worn.
  • Makeup, including nail varnish, should not be worn.

Jewellery
  • Plain stud earrings may be worn but they must be removed or covered with tape for PE lessons.
  • No other jewellery should be worn.

Watches
  • A simple analogue or digital watch may be worn but please ensure any alarms are turned off during school hours.
  • 'Smart' watches are not permitted. This includes any watch that have games on, can send or receive messages, access the internet, can take photos / videos, or record sound.
